Soar Privacy Policy

Version v1.0.0 · Updated: 2026-10-14 · Effective: 2026-10-14

Introduction

Soar (the "Service") is developed and operated by Beijing Xinge Culture Media Co., Ltd. (北京新歌文化传媒有限公司) ("we", "us"). The Service includes the Soar desktop client, Soar on the web (app.soar.study), the Soar web app used in phone and tablet browsers, the Soar website (soar.study), and every feature we provide through these channels.

We take your personal information seriously. This Policy is drawn up under the Personal Information Protection Law, the Cybersecurity Law and the Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China and related laws, regulations and national standards. It explains what personal information we collect when you use the Service, why, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, where it is stored and for how long, and what rights you have and how to exercise them.

Please read this Policy carefully before using the Service, especially the terms shown in bold. Sensitive personal information, cross-border transfers of personal information, and content that excludes or limits our liability are all marked in bold. By clicking to agree, completing registration or actually using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Policy. For matters that require your separate consent (sensitive personal information, cross-border transfers and so on), we will ask for that consent separately at the relevant step; if you do not agree, we will not process that information, but we may be unable to provide the features that depend on it.

If you have any questions about this Policy, contact us using the details in the "Contact us" section.

1. Terms used in this Policy

• Personal information: any information, recorded electronically or otherwise, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information.
• Sensitive personal information: personal information that, once leaked or unlawfully used, can easily harm a person's dignity or endanger their personal or property safety, including biometrics, religious belief, specific identities, medical and health information, financial accounts and whereabouts, as well as the personal information of minors under the age of 14. Content in this Policy that involves sensitive personal information is shown in bold.
• Processing: includes collecting, storing, using, analysing, transmitting, providing, disclosing and deleting personal information.
• De-identification: processing personal information so that it cannot identify a specific person without additional information.
• Anonymization: processing personal information so that it cannot identify a specific person and cannot be restored.
• Course: a learning space created in the Service by a teacher or user that others can be invited into, including classes, materials, assignments and rosters.
• AI features: features in the Service provided by artificial intelligence models, such as transcription, translation, summaries, answering questions, generating, rewriting and reading aloud.

2. How we collect and use your personal information

We follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity and good faith, and process only the personal information needed for the Service's features. Each feature is described below. If you do not provide the information a feature needs, only that feature is affected; you can still use the others.

2.1 Registration and sign-in

• What you provide: when you register we collect your email address, password and display name (a nickname is fine). You may choose to add your major. If a teacher in one of your courses has recorded your student number in the roster, or you entered it yourself, we keep the student number.
• Purpose: to create and identify your account, let you sign in on different devices, and show your name in courses.
• Passwords: we store only a hash of your password produced with argon2id. We cannot see your password.
• Consent record: we record the version of this Policy and of the Terms of Use you agreed to, and when, so that we can later show which text you agreed to. You can see it in Settings.
• Sign-in tokens and device information: to keep you signed in we issue sign-in tokens to your device. Our server stores only a hash of each token and records the browser or client type (User-Agent) it was issued to, so that you can recognise and manage your signed-in devices and so that unusual sign-ins can be spotted.
• Beta registration codes: during the beta, registration may require a one-time code. We record which account used each code.
• We currently offer no third-party sign-in and send no marketing email.

2.2 Live class, dictation and subtitle translation

• What you provide: when you use live class, in-person listening, dictation and similar features, we capture audio through your microphone (or system audio you choose).
• How it is handled: the audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our server in real time, passed on to a speech-recognition service to be turned into text, and translated according to your settings. The raw audio of live classes and dictation is handled only in memory on the server; it is not written to the server's disk and is discarded once recognised.
• What is kept: the recognised subtitle text, translations, speaker labels and time positions are saved as the class record, so that you and course members with permission can review, organise and revise them.
• Recordings on your device: if you turn on or use class recording and playback in the client, recordings are stored on your own device (not on our servers) and you manage and delete them yourself.
• Other people in class: class audio may contain the voices and words of the teacher and other students. Under the Terms of Use, whoever starts the capture is responsible for obtaining any consent required by local law and school rules from the people recorded.
• Class feedback and attendance: feedback you give in class, such as "I didn't follow", is recorded (the teacher sees only the total count); the times you join and leave a class are recorded to show the course teacher your attendance.

2.3 Transcribing uploaded recordings

• When you upload a recording to be transcribed, the recording is temporarily stored on our server's disk for no more than 30 minutes and deleted once recognition finishes or the time runs out; during that time the speech-recognition provider reads the recording through a temporary address protected by a random token.
• The resulting text is saved as your material.

2.4 Conversation translation

• When you use conversation translation (face-to-face translation), we process the audio recorded while you hold to talk, recognise it and translate it for the other person. For recognition, the audio is uploaded to the speech-recognition provider's temporary storage and deleted by the provider within a short period under its own rules.
• We save the text of the conversation, including the original words and translations of both you and the other person, the start and end times and the languages you chose, so that you can look back at it. The other person's words are their personal information. Tell them before you use the feature, and only save or share these records with their consent.
• Record place (optional, off by default): only if you turn on "Record place" will we ask your device for its location each time you use the feature. The coordinates are sent to a reverse-geocoding service and turned into a place name (for example "Myeongdong"); we save only that place name in the translation record, never the coordinates. To avoid repeated requests, coordinates are briefly cached in server memory and cleared automatically after at most 6 hours; they are never written to the database. Location is sensitive personal information; we ask for your separate consent when you turn the switch on. Turning it off does not affect translation itself.

2.5 Voice cloning (optional)

• If you use voice cloning, such as "speak a foreign language in my own voice", we need you to read a voice sample. A voiceprint is biometric information and is sensitive personal information. We enable this feature only after you record a sample yourself and give separate consent; if you do not use it, we do not collect your voiceprint in any form.
• How it is handled: the sample is held in our server's memory for at most 5 minutes and never written to disk; during that time the voice provider collects it once through a one-time address protected by a random token, and it is destroyed once collected or when the time runs out. The provider uses it to create a reusable voice model stored on its service; after that, each time speech is synthesised we send the provider only the text to be read and the voice's ID.
• You may only clone your own voice. The Terms of Use prohibit using other people's voice samples.
• Deletion: you can delete a voice you created in Settings; when you do, we ask the provider to delete the corresponding voice model. We also delete your voice when your account is closed.

2.6 Materials, documents and the notebook

• What you provide: the textbooks, handouts, documents, images and web links you upload, and the notes, highlights, annotations and handwriting (including stroke paths and pressure) you make in the notebook.
• How it is handled: to support reading, translation, search and questions, we run text recognition (OCR), translation, pagination and summaries on your materials and build text-vector indexes for search; uploaded originals and their page-by-page text are stored on our servers so you can open them on other devices.
• Web links: when you ask us to read a web page, our server visits that address on your behalf and extracts the main text.
• Shared caches: to avoid repeating work, conversion results and translations of identical content are cached by content fingerprint and shared by all users; these caches do not record which user they belong to and cannot be linked to you.
• Your responsibility: please upload only materials you are entitled to use.

2.7 AI assistant and learning memory

• What you provide: your conversations with the AI assistant and the file names and materials you attach.
• Learning profile and memory: to help the assistant understand you, the system automatically builds a short learning profile and a number of memory entries about how you are learning (for example the subjects you are studying and common difficulties) from your conversations, and creates text vectors for them so they can be searched. This profile and memory apply only to your own account; they are not given to other users and are not used for advertising.
• Your control: you can view and delete conversations in the app. If you do not want us to personalise answers based on your learning profile, you can ask us to stop using the details in "Contact us", and we will act once we have verified your identity.
• No training: we do not use your personal information, conversations or uploads to train our own models. How the model providers we engage may use data is governed by their service agreements; see Section 5.

2.8 Review, mistakes and quizzes

• We store your review cards and review history, mistakes and your answers, and quiz and exam scores, to schedule your reviews (spaced repetition), explain mistakes and show your progress.

2.9 Goals, calendar, diary and mood

• In the calendar you can record events, to-dos and plans, set goals and log progress, and write a diary or record your mood. We store what you enter to show it to you, remind you and produce weekly, monthly and yearly reports.
• You decide what to enter. If you write sensitive content such as health, emotions or religious belief, we protect it to the standard for sensitive personal information and use it only to provide these features to you. Please think carefully before entering sensitive information that is not necessary.

2.10 Courses, rosters, assignments and feedback

• Once you join a course, other members can see your display name and role (teacher/student). If the teacher has recorded your name, alias and student number in the roster, members of the same course can see this roster information.
• The course teacher (and teaching assistants they authorise) can see: your attendance (whether you attended and when you joined), the content and files of assignments you submit, grades and comments the teacher gives you, and the total count of "I didn't follow" feedback in class.
• The course teacher cannot see: your personal notes, review history, mistakes, AI conversations or other personal learning data.
• When teachers enter rosters: the teacher is the party recording students' names and numbers in a course, and must ensure there is a lawful basis for entering other people's information (for example the school's teaching arrangements).

2.11 Sharing, comments and collaboration

• You can create share links for documents, slides, class records and more. Anyone with the link can open it without signing in; links expire after 30 days by default and you can revoke them at any time. Shared pages show the author's display name. Please judge for yourself whether shared content contains your or other people's personal information.
• Comments you post on shared content, and documents you edit together with others, are visible to the people who have access.

2.12 Creation features

• When you use slides, documents, spreadsheets and other creation features, we process the topics, materials and instructions you provide and call AI models to generate content.
• Image and literature search: when you search for images, we send the search keywords to image-library services; when you search for literature, we send the search keywords to an academic literature service. These requests contain no account information.
• AI-generated images: when you ask AI to generate an image, we send your description to an image-generation model service.

2.13 Reminders

• If you turn on reminders on your phone or in your browser, we store your device's push subscription identifier and the time zone, language and device type needed to send reminders. Push messages are encrypted and delivered through your system's or browser's push service, and contain only the reminder title and time, never class content. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings or in your system.

2.14 Profile picture

• You can upload a custom profile picture. It is stored on our servers and shown to other members in your courses.

2.15 Feedback and error reports

• Feedback: when you submit feedback, we collect your description and any screenshots you choose to attach, together with the app version, platform, the page you were on and the interface language, to find and fix the problem. Screenshots may contain information on your screen; please check them before sending.
• Error reports: when the app hits an error, it automatically sends us the error message, technical stack, app version, platform and the page where it happened, linked to your account, so that we can fix the defect. Error reports do not include your IP address.

2.16 Security and abuse prevention

• To keep accounts and the Service secure, we temporarily use your IP address and email address in server memory for rate limiting (for example to prevent password guessing and mass registration). These counts are not written to the database and are cleared when the service restarts.
• Our application logs record request paths, status codes and your account ID, and occasionally fragments of AI output, for troubleshooting; we do not record your password or email address in logs.
• Usage statistics: we record how often you use AI features, which models and how much, for capacity planning, abuse prevention and possible future billing; we do not record the content you enter.

2.17 Visiting the website

• When you visit soar.study we use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Like most websites, our web server may keep routine access logs (including IP address, time of access, the page requested and browser type) for security and troubleshooting, and rotates and deletes them regularly.
• The website and some slide templates load fonts from Google Fonts; when they do, your browser connects directly to its servers, which can see your IP address and browser information.

2.18 Material collection

• The "Material collection" feature (for example a teacher or institution collecting students' application documents through a link) has its own Material Collection and Custody Notice, shown separately to the submitter, whose consent is obtained before submission. This feature may involve sensitive personal information such as identity documents, passports, dates of birth and bank statements; this content is encrypted on the submitter's device before upload, and its scope, retention and deletion are governed by that notice.

2.19 Client updates

• The desktop client regularly contacts our update server (updates.soar.study) to check for and download new versions; only version information and the network information needed for your device to communicate with the server are transmitted.

2.20 When consent is not required

Under Article 13 of the Personal Information Protection Law, we do not need your consent to process your personal information where this is:

• necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are a party;
• necessary to fulfil statutory duties or obligations;
• necessary to respond to a public health emergency, or to protect a person's life, health or property in an emergency;
• carried out within a reasonable scope for news reporting or public-opinion supervision in the public interest;
• processing, within a reasonable scope, of information you have made public yourself or that has otherwise been lawfully made public;
• otherwise provided for by laws and administrative regulations.

2.21 Change of purpose

If we want to use your personal information for a purpose not stated in this Policy, or beyond what is directly or reasonably related to the purpose for which it was collected, we will tell you in advance and ask for your consent again.

3. Device permissions we use

We request device permissions only when a feature needs them. You can turn these permissions off at any time in your operating system or browser settings; features that depend on them will then stop working, but other features are unaffected.

• Microphone: live class, dictation, conversation translation and voice-clone recording. Used only while you use these features.
• Screen and system audio: when you choose to transcribe sound playing on your computer (for example an online lecture or video), the client needs system audio; browsers and operating systems require this to be obtained as a screen share. We use only the audio and do not save the screen image. In the desktop client, to avoid repeated prompts, the client grants this permission itself when you start the feature.
• Camera: used only when you choose "take a photo to upload", through your system's camera or file picker; we never use the camera in the background.
• Notifications: to deliver the reminders you set.
• Location: used only after you turn on "Record place" in conversation translation; your system asks you each time and it is off by default. The desktop client does not use location.
• Clipboard: read once, only when you click "Paste".
• Global shortcut (desktop client): for "hold to talk", the client listens for whether the shortcut you set is pressed. The client checks only that shortcut and does not record or upload any other keys you type.
• Files and folders: accessed only when you choose a file, folder or export location yourself.

4. Local storage and similar technologies

• Local storage: so that you can work offline and pages open faster, the client and the web version keep working copies of class records, material copies, notes, recordings, AI conversations and so on on your device (in the browser's local database, local storage or the app data folder), separated by account. Signing out does not automatically clear this local data. If you use a public or someone else's device, clear the browser data or uninstall the client when you are done.
• Sign-in tokens: on the web, sign-in tokens are kept in the browser's local storage; the desktop client uses the operating system's encrypted storage where available. Do not stay signed in on untrusted devices.
• Cookies: the Service currently uses no cookies to track your browsing and no third-party cookies.
• Local logs and crash information: the desktop client keeps logs and crash records on your computer so that you can provide diagnostic information when you report a problem. They are not uploaded automatically.
• Export and backup: you can save your data to a location of your choice with "Export & backup"; you are responsible for exported files.

5. How we entrust, share, transfer and disclose your personal information

5.1 Entrusted processing

To provide the Service we entrust the following providers to process personal information on our behalf. We agree with them on the purpose, duration, method and security measures and supervise their processing; we do not allow providers to use this information for any other purpose.

• Alibaba Cloud (cloud servers): the servers, network and storage that host the Service. Information processed: all data in the Service. The servers are in Seoul, Republic of Korea (see Section 6).
• Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Tongyi / DashScope): AI capabilities including speech recognition, translation, text generation and question answering, text recognition, image understanding, text vectors, speech synthesis, voice cloning and image generation. Information processed: the audio, text, images, material excerpts and conversation content needed for each feature, and voice-clone samples and voices. The service may run automated safety checks on content.
• DeepSeek: text generation, where we choose its models for certain features. Information processed: the text needed for the feature.

5.2 Providing information to third parties

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising. We do not provide your personal information to third parties except:

• Requests that a feature necessarily makes and that contain no account information: reverse geocoding (OpenStreetMap Foundation Nominatim, which receives coordinates and language), browser and system push services (such as Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, Mozilla's push service and Apple Push Notification service, which receive encrypted reminder content and push identifiers), academic literature search (Crossref, which receives search terms), image libraries (Pexels, Pixabay, Openverse, which receive search terms), fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your browser's network requests), and the websites you ask us to read (which receive our server's request).
• Sharing you choose: when you join a course, submit an assignment, create a share link, post a comment or invite others to collaborate, the relevant information becomes visible to the people you chose.
• With your separate consent.
• As required by law: in accordance with laws and regulations, litigation, arbitration, or lawful requests from administrative or judicial authorities.

5.3 Transfers

If personal information has to be transferred because of a merger, division, dissolution or bankruptcy, we will tell you the recipient's name and contact details. The recipient will continue to be bound by this Policy; if it changes the original purpose or method of processing, it will ask for your consent again.

5.4 Public disclosure

We will not publicly disclose your personal information unless you give separate consent or the law requires it, except for content you make public yourself through share links.

5.5 Staff access

Internal access to personal information follows the principle of minimum necessity. To handle your feedback or keep the Service secure, maintainers can see account email addresses, usage statistics and the feedback and screenshots you submit; the Service is built so that the admin console cannot view real users' AI conversations.

6. Cross-border transfer of personal information

Please pay particular attention to this section.

• Server location: the Service's servers are in Seoul, Republic of Korea (provided by Alibaba Cloud). If you use the Service within the People's Republic of China, your personal information (including account information, class records, materials, conversations and everything described in Section 2) will be transferred to and stored on servers in the Republic of Korea.
• AI processing: to perform speech recognition, translation and other AI features, the relevant content is sent from those servers to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Tongyi) for processing; where that processing happens depends on Alibaba Cloud's deployment and may be within the People's Republic of China.
• Other overseas recipients: the reverse-geocoding, push, literature, image-library and font services listed in Section 5.2 may be located overseas; they receive only the content needed to complete each request, without account information.
• Purpose and method: to provide the Service to you, by encrypted network transmission.
• Categories transferred: the personal information described in Section 2, which may include sensitive personal information created when you choose to use the relevant features (voiceprint, location place names, health or emotional content you enter yourself, information about minors under 14).
• Overseas recipient and contact: the servers in the Republic of Korea are managed by us on infrastructure provided by Alibaba Cloud; you can exercise all the rights described in Section 9 with us through the details in "Contact us".
• Separate consent: we will ask for your separate consent to cross-border transfer when you register or first use the Service. If you do not agree, we will be unable to provide the Service.
• Safeguards: we protect data stored overseas to the same standard as data stored in China; where laws and regulations require, we will apply for a security assessment for outbound data transfer, conclude the standard contract for outbound transfer of personal information, or obtain personal information protection certification.

7. Where and how long we store personal information

Location: see Section 6.

Retention: we keep your personal information only for the shortest time needed for the purpose, unless the law provides otherwise. Specifically:

• Account information and content you create in the Service: kept while your account exists; once you delete an item, we delete it from our servers within a reasonable time.
• Live class and dictation audio: handled only in memory and discarded once recognised.
• Temporary files of uploaded recordings: no more than 30 minutes.
• Voice-clone samples: no more than 5 minutes in memory; the voice model is kept until you delete the voice or close your account.
• Location coordinates: no more than 6 hours in server memory; translation records keep only the place name, which is deleted with the record.
• Share links: expire after 30 days by default, or immediately when you revoke them.
• Course trash: deleted courses stay in the trash for 30 days and are then permanently deleted.
• Database backups: to prevent accidental loss we back up the database daily; backups are kept for about 7 days at most and are overwritten when they expire. Data you deleted may remain in backups during that time, but it is not used for any other purpose and disappears as the backups expire.
• Application logs and website access logs: deleted regularly under the servers' log-rotation policy.
• Material collection: as set out in the Material Collection and Custody Notice.
• Closing your account: see Section 9.5.

After these periods we delete or anonymize your personal information. Where a retention period required by law has not yet ended, or deletion is technically difficult, we stop all processing other than storage and the necessary security measures.

If we stop operating the Service, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by announcement or similar means, stop collecting personal information, and delete or anonymize the personal information we hold within a reasonable period; you can export your data in the meantime.

8. How we protect your personal information

• Encryption in transit: all communication between your device and our servers uses TLS.
• Protection at rest: passwords are stored as argon2id hashes; the server keeps only hashes of sign-in tokens; access keys for AI services are kept only on the server and never sent to any client; files in the material-collection feature are encrypted on the submitter's device before upload.
• Access control: data is separated by account and course role, and course members can access only data within their permissions; staff are authorised on a minimum-necessary basis.
• Incident response: we have a security-incident procedure. If personal information is leaked, altered or lost, we will take remedial action immediately and, as required by law, promptly tell you by push, email or announcement what happened, the possible impact, what we have done or will do, and what you can do to protect yourself, and report to the authorities as required.
• Protecting yourself: keep your password safe, do not stay signed in on untrusted devices, and clear local data after using a public device.
• Please understand that no internet environment is 100% secure. We make reasonable efforts to protect your personal information but cannot guarantee absolute security. For leaks caused by you (for example disclosing your password or not signing out on someone else's device) or by third parties other than us, we bear responsibility only to the extent required by law.

9. Your rights

Under the law you have the following rights over your personal information. We will respond to your request within 15 working days after verifying your identity. Reasonable requests are in principle free of charge; for repeated requests beyond reasonable limits we may charge a cost-based fee or decline.

9.1 Access, copy and portability

• You can view your account information, courses, materials, notes, conversations, review history and more directly in the app.
• You can obtain a copy of your data with "Export & backup". If you want us to transfer your personal information to another processor you designate and the conditions set by the national cyberspace authority are met, contact us.

9.2 Correction and completion

• You can change your display name, profile picture and similar information in Settings; for anything you cannot change yourself, contact us to correct or complete it.

9.3 Deletion

• You can delete content you created in the app.
• You can ask us to delete your personal information where: the purpose has been achieved, cannot be achieved or the information is no longer needed for it; we stop providing the Service or the retention period has expired; you withdraw consent; we processed the information in breach of the law or our agreement; or as otherwise provided by law.

9.4 Withdrawing consent

• You can withdraw consent by turning off device permissions or the relevant feature switches (such as "Record place" and notifications) or by deleting your voice. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of your consent. After withdrawal we cannot continue to provide the features that depend on it.

9.5 Closing your account

• How: submit a request in Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account, confirming with your password. Once submitted, you are signed out on all devices immediately.
• 30-day cooling-off period: sign in with your email and password within 30 days to cancel, and your account is restored as it was. After 30 days your personal information is permanently deleted or anonymized and cannot be recovered.
• Closing your account deletes: your account and profile, profile picture, AI conversations, learning profile and memory, goals and calendar, review, mistakes and exam records, notes, highlights and handwriting, uploaded originals and materials, creations, conversation-translation records, assignments you submitted and feedback you received, push subscriptions, feedback and error reports, materials you uploaded and shares and comments you created, and your voice-clone voices.
• Closing your account does not delete data that belongs to others: records belonging to other people in classes you took part in are kept. For example, if you were a teacher, the assignments, grades and learning records of your students are their data and do not disappear when you close your account; class subtitles and courses you led as a teacher are kept as the shared learning record of the course members. In these records your name is shown as "Deleted user".
• Caches shared by content fingerprint (see Section 2.6) belong to no individual and cannot be linked to you, so they are outside the scope of deletion.
• Backups: deleted data may remain in database backups for about 7 days at most and is then cleared as the backups expire.
• Closing your account does not affect materials you submitted as a submitter in a "Material collection" started by someone else; those are handled under the Material Collection and Custody Notice.

9.6 Explanation

• You have the right to ask us to explain this Policy and our processing rules.

9.7 Automated decision-making

• The AI features generate answers, review schedules and other personalised content based on your materials and learning records. This content is for your reference only and does not make decisions with legal effect or similarly significant effect on you. If you believe an automated process significantly affects your rights, you may ask us to explain it and may refuse decisions made solely by automated means.

9.8 Rights of close relatives

• If a user dies, their close relatives may, for their own lawful and legitimate interests, exercise the rights in this section, such as access, copy, correction and deletion, over the deceased's personal information, unless the deceased arranged otherwise.

9.9 How to exercise your rights

• Where you can do it in the app, please do so there;
• For other requests, email privacy@soar.study with your registered email address and your request. For security we may first need to verify your identity.
• We may be unable to respond where the request: relates to our legal obligations; is directly related to national security or national defence; is directly related to public safety, public health or major public interests; is directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial or enforcement of judgments; is shown by sufficient evidence to be malicious or an abuse of rights; would seriously harm the lawful rights of you or other individuals or organisations; or involves trade secrets.

10. Minors

• The Service is intended mainly for university students, adult learners and teachers.
• If you are under 18, please read this Policy with your parent or guardian and use the Service only with their consent.
• The personal information of children under 14 is sensitive personal information. If you are under 14, your parent or guardian must read and agree to this Policy before you can use the Service. Guardians can access, correct or delete their child's personal information or withdraw consent through "Contact us".
• If we find that we have collected personal information from a child under 14 without prior guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.
• If you are a teacher using the Service in a course with minor students, you must make sure that the necessary consent of the students' guardians has been obtained in line with your school's and region's rules.

11. Updates to this Policy

• We may update this Policy as laws change or features change. Updated versions are published in the app and on the website with a version number and update date.
• For material changes we will notify you prominently, for example with an in-app pop-up, and ask for your consent again where necessary. Material changes include, among others: significant changes to the purpose, method or categories of processing; a change of operator; changes to the main recipients of sharing, transfer or public disclosure; significant changes to how you exercise your rights; and changes to the contact details or complaint channels for personal information security.
• You can see which version you agreed to in the app's Settings.

12. Contact us
